Great call SmokeyChuck on Seattle and the over...all your hard work is paying off nicely.
As for your games this Sunday, I am from Nashville originally and follow the Titans religiously. First, Roydell Williams is lost for the remainder of the year due to his wrist fracture. At first glance, this might appear to be devestating blow to their anemic passing passing game. However, I believe it will allow Bennett and Callico to become more of a focal point in the passing attack and will pay instant dividends. McNair is banged up, but Coach Fischer stated Monday that he should practice by Thursday and is likely to Start on Sunday. If not, Billy V. is fine with me...but I digress.
First the negatives. The Titans lost both games against Houston last year by 10 pts. (10-20 and 21-31). Those were painful games to watch. Furthermore, I believe this years Titan team is less talented than the 2004 Titan team. I also believe that Houston is actually improving as the year progresses and is a dangerous team with a healthy Dominic Davis. Some may question how much Houston is improving, but you can not question that they play hard week after week. The same can not be said for my Titans. For instance, last week you could actually see the team give up after a crucial call went against them and Indy quickly responded with another TD. It was obvious that the Titans were trying to get out of Indy as quickly as possible and played with very little heart. This also happened at the beginning of the year when Pittsburgh slapped Tennessee around. Finally, the interior offensive and defensive line is banged-up. The majority are playing hurt and it shows by the 4th quarter.
Now the positives. First, there are only 4 games left. More importantly, whenever the Titans have played unispired like they dis last weekend against Indy, Fisher has a knack for getting them to play inspired football the following week. Tennessee also knows this is the best chance they have to win out of their remianing 4 games. I also believe that Tennesse will come out clicking in the passing game this weekend and expect big games from Bennett and Calico. I do believe that Tennessee will win, but am not confident that they can cover the 6-61/2 pt. spread.
Well, now you have some hometown advice. Good luck this weekend with your plays. As usual, I will be watching for your post.
